The Golden Tornadoes were victorious against the Plantation Colonels on Mar. 31,sweeping them 10-1. The Golden Tornadoes went up to bat first but unfortunately did not score until the 3rd inning scoring six runs. Between the 4th and 7th inning, the Tornadoes put up three more runs with Plantation only putting up one in the 6th inning. The biggest contributor to these runs was Riley Gill with a 1.000 batting average and 5 stolen bases. When taking the field Ethan Willams pitched for all seven innings only giving up three hits and one run.
“It felt really rewarding going back to back on wins after losing to Cypress,” sophomore catcher Jonathan Millian said. “We did excellent in our hitting department, but our fielding needs to improve. If it wasn’t for errors, we could’ve ended up winning 10-0,” Millian said.
The Golden Tornadoes play South Broward on April 4.
