On February 9, the Golden Tornadoes led off their season at home with a loss against Cypress Bay, 17-0. Cypress Bay led in the first half, 0-10. Then by the end of the second half, Cypress scored another seven goals making the score 0-17. The loss put Pompano at a 0-1 record.
The team took to social media a few days before stating that they will be “All Gas. No Brakes.” The Tornadoes next game is Feb. 14 and is an away game against Cooper City, and the team is hopeful, saying, “Let’s get this W!” on social media. Cypress Bay heads to Coral Glades to face the Jaguars in their third game of the season, hoping to keep their three game win streak alive.
