The boy’s varsity soccer team hit a stalemate with the Coconut Creek Charter team in their home game on Jan. 12, 2025, scoring 1-1.
The Coconut Creek Charter scored their first goal against the Golden Tornadoes 19 minutes before half time.
“Just score one more goal,” Coach Tyler Townsend said. With 10 minutes left, the Golden Tornadoes got a penalty kick and scored.
“It’s exhilarating, you almost feel like it’s impossible not to celebrate, like you’re a part of the school’s history,” Center Attacking Midfield Rafy Franco said. “I’d have to say they were formidable, we tied, but could’ve won if we played things differently.”
