Students are often prohibited from using artificial intelligence (AI), but should teachers be allowed to use it? The answer is yes, teachers should be able to use AI. The main reason is because teachers don’t need to learn the material and AI would only help them. For teachers, AI can really help them to make and grade assignments. Without using AI, their job can be more difficult or tedious. Although teachers may not need it, it could be really helpful.
Using AI will help lighten the work load of teachers because they can ask AI to create assignments or grades. Using AI also has side effects. AI is not always completely accurate, so teachers must be cautious when using it.
Some may argue that if students can’t use AI, then why can teachers? Students and teachers have completely different roles. Teachers are supposed to teach students the material, and students are expected to learn it. Teachers can receive help with AI to take some work off their plate.
If teachers are going to use AI, they must take some precautions like reviewing and revising the AI’s responses. AI is not always right, and if teachers do not review what AI is giving them, it could lead to some problems. They could make any needed adjustments before using it to aid them.
Teachers should be able to use AI even if students are not because it will increase productivity and will help with better grading.
