Boys golf backfires

The boys golf team began its season by winning four matches out of five.

“Our goal was to defeat all of the public schools we played,” head coach Richard Campbell said. “We eventually met the real competition in districts.”

The team received second to last place in districts on Oct. 26 at Pompano Beach Golf Course.

“The player that really impressed me the most this season was Joseph Hendren,”  Campbell said, as the freshman placed fourth in districts as an individual.

“It was great to accomplish so much in my freshman year with just two years of experience,” Hendren said.
