The flag football team played three games in a tournament at Florida State University on March 31 and April 1, losing the first two and winning the last one.

In the first game, the team lost 20-0 against Niceville High School.  It then lost to Tarpon Springs in a tight game, 8-6, before finishing the tournament strongly with a 26-0 win against Gladen County.

The team’s 26 points were scored by freshman Grace Kallioinen, sophomore Haley Nolan,  junior Ella Casey, sophomore Sofia Filippone and sophomore Ryan Youngblood.

“We lost a majority of our seniors that weekend and were faced with tough competition,” Youngblood said. “While playing, I felt we tried our best and were able to produce a win. Overall, I thought it was a successful tournament.”

The tournament pushed the team’s record to 7-4.
