On April 3, the girls’ softball team lost 2-1 against Fort Lauderdale in a home game.

Sammy Murphy was the star of the game, throwing 7 innings and striking out 14 batters (9 of them being consecutive). McKenzie Jewell also helped the team, hitting a home run and scoring the only run.

“It was a tight game with great pitching from both teams,” said Coach John McGuire.

The next game is April 11 at Stoneman Douglas.
