The ASVAB or The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test, is a military-sponsored career test.

The first section was Nov 1. The second section, which follows up for which jobs takers qualify for, was originally scheduled for Nov. 9, but will have to be rescheduled due to school closure for Tropical Storm Nicole.

“You take multiple subject courses, just like the PSAT where you have time to take multiple course tests,” sophomore cadet Kayla Feather said.

Subjects include general science (GS), arithmetic reasoning (AR), word knowledge (WK), paragraph comprehension (PC), mathematics knowledge (MK), electronics information (EI), auto information (AI), shop information (SI), mechanical comprehension (MC) and assembling objects (AO).

The ASVAB is available for both members and non-members of JROTC.
