The football team won its first three games of the season, outscoring opponents 73-49 before losing 18-0 at St. John Paul II High School on Sept. 15 and the Homecoming game 7-0 to Hollywood Hills on Oct. 7.

Senior wide receiver and defensive back Dwain Walters said the team’s goal was “really proving ourselves this season, by proving to everyone that we aren’t the ‘same old Pompano. This year we are going to have a winning season.”

The team has been led by dual threat junior quarterback Eric Campbell, who has passed for three touchdowns and run for five.

“Now it is a matter of making ourselves 8-2 by the end of the season,” sophomore punter-kicker Jake Rosoff said.

Senior Night will be against Somerset Academy Key on Oct. 27.
