Earlier this year, the school district announced that all students within Broward County Public Schools will receive both breakfast and lunch for free, all year long.“I think it’s an excellent opportunity for our students to get a hot, scrumptious, delectable, gourmet recipe meal in the morning and the afternoon,” Principal Lisa Spencer said. “I think it keeps the students energized.”

Sophomore Maurizio Stradiotti strongly supports the change. “I think the free lunch is great because the free lunch helps those who need it financially even more so. It stops the possibility of days when parents forget to add money to the account and cause a student to be hungry,” Stradiotti explained.

Students should take advantage of this opportunity, to help fuel their mind and body to achieve their highest potential. “If you don’t have to worry about your stomach growling, you can focus on our school vision: academic excellence, global vision, for an unlimited future,” Spencer said.
