Art project promotes peace

National Art Honor Society members created a project during both lunches from Feb. 28 to March 9 called Pinwheels for Peace to help people remember to stay calm even in stressful situations.

At a table set up in the courtyard, students could come up, decorate and make a pinwheel.

According to NAHS member Jade Mejia-Amaya, between 75-100 pinwheels were on display in the courtyard before being placed in the art case.

“I felt it was a good way to build school spirit and was just fun to do with my friends at lunch,” freshman Olivia Navarro said.
