Junior Jessica Russo received top honors for her solo musical piece, “Astonishing” from “Little Women,” at the Florida Thespian State Festival in Tampa from March 15-18. Troupe 6063, the school’s Thespian Club, participated in five other events.

“I am incredibly proud of the achievements of all of our performers, although I wouldn’t expect anything less from such a talented group,” troupe president senior Riley Dion said.

Dion credited sponsor Jennifer Russo for organizing multiple rehearsals and  suggesting improvements on their performances. 

“Ms. Russo gives critiques that help a lot with our preparation, and I also just think that they are all very naturally talented,” Dion said. “It just takes some fine-tuning.”
