As a continuation of the series and another adaptation of the game created by Sega, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was released and hit theaters on December 20, 2024. It grossed over $440 million at the Worldwide Box Office, and was a hit to all parents and children as it’s rated PG for action, minor violence, rude humor, and mild language.

   Not only did audiences enjoy it, but it received an 86% on the Tomatometer (Critic’s review) on Rotten Tomatoes! The movie creates fun for all ages as it’s an action comedy with well loved characters and the story begins with a touching scene between Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Tom and Maddie. 

   It showcases kind messages and displays themes of overcoming personal challenges as well the power of friendship. Throughout the continuing series the main storyline of sonic’s heroic behavior has continued and this time he must take down a new enemy with special powers. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I has been confirmed and the release date has been set to March 19, 2027 in theaters!
