The Cross Country districts were on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and the Golden Tornadoes came in 15th place. Sophomore Schneider Jean-Louis was the top runner, first for our school, with an average mile time of 06 minutes, 37.7 seconds, and a total time of 20 minutes, 35.9 seconds.
Senior Shayna Agatstein was a competitor for our school who finished with an average mile time of 08 minutes, 46.4 seconds. “I was very nervous because it was districts, and I wanted to end my senior year off well,” Agatstein Said.
Agastein said that what motivated her was just knowing that the faster I went, the faster I could be done with the race.” When looking back on why she joined cross country, she stated, “In track, I ran mid distance, so I wanted to get my endurance up so that I can start my season off strong.”
