The school’s Parent Teacher Student Association has been recognized as a 2020-2022 National PTA School of Excellence because of its hard work and dedication to communication.
Tracey Morganelli, the VP of Events for the PTSA, expressed her happiness about the new title.
“When you talk about the PTSA, there’s the national, state and county level,” Morganelli said. “To be recognized on a national level is huge”.
The group raised more than $2,000 in two weeks of apparel sales, which Morganelli said was a vital part in becoming a nationally recognized PTSA.
“We do a lot of fundraising as a whole is to give back to the entirety of the school — not just the sports or clubs,” Morganelli said.
The PSTA plans to continue its fundraisers and outreach to keep the title of “National PTA School of Excellence.”
