NHS programs prosper in pandemic

National Honor Society has been prolific despite the pandemic. One of its new projects is recording holiday stories for children to watch.
“I’m very excited to see how the children will like it,” senior Jordan Green said.
Another project has been to continue after-school tutoring via breakout rooms.
“I like it because it provides a place where discussions can happen, and we can bounce ideas off each other while giving a full and different perspective of how to learn and study a certain topic,” junior Nancy Zhu said. Students can sign up for them through the dashboard on Canvas.
NHS has also been working on getting the art kids to create posters so the school looks nice when students decide to come back.
“I’m loving that the art kids want to get involved in welcoming back students,” junior Olivia Kimmelman said.
