3 students win short story contest
Junior Eden Wright, freshman Keagan O’Leary and freshman Sydney Howard were announced as the school’s winners of the Library Foundation Short Story Competition.
Wright on first place for her story “Bad Intentions,” O’Leary second place for “Waiting Room,” and Howard third place for “Mr. Businessman.”
Awards for the competition are usually announced at the annual Broward Literary Fair ceremony. Due to COVID-19, judging was delayed and the ceremony was cancelled, although awards were still announced.
Both competitions plan to deliver awards to students in the fall.
