One room at a time
By Chloe Oldbury, Staff Intern
Now I am currently quarantined to one room, a different room, each day.
We had booked in advance replacing our current windows and doors with hurricane impact ones. Since May 14, construction workers have been coming by and staying all day to work on different parts of the house.
The house right now is a disaster. There is dust from their work all over the floor, there were huge holes in the house where the windows and doors used to be (causing flies to get in) and to top it all off it is extremely hot inside.
Each day I have isolated myself to a room they are not working in, and I make sure to keep the doors closed so it stays cool in there.
They should be finished completely by tomorrow. It is a time consuming, difficult process but it will be worth it for the results.
