Vacation redemption
By Sierra Krey, Staff Intern
Along with canceling most events, this virus has ruined my vacationing plans for camping with my family. Instead of being sad and bringing the mood down even more, my father decided to set up a tent and build a fire with my brothers in our backyard.
My mother and I prepared dinner and everything to make s’mores that night, so we all could spend the whole night outdoors as if we were really camping. I really did not expect the night to be so much fun.
We ended up swimming for a little bit in our pool, playing countless hours of sports, and at the very end making a huge fire to roast marshmallows and make s’mores. In a way I think I liked this camping better because even though it was not really camping, it was our own version of it.
