Anti-stay-at-home protests have erupted across America, and all I can say is ”wow.”
Protesters are holding signs that say, “Freedom is essential” and ”America land of the free.” I understand they want to re-open states, and I understand that it is a difficult time. However, there is a bigger threat to our freedom than stay-at-home orders.
Something else that can take away your freedom is being attached to a ventilator because you caught COVID-19 at a protest.
Stay-at-home orders are put in place to protect citizens. It is a legitimate danger to be within 6 feet of another person. With a virus that can have up to a 14-day incubation period and is more deadly than the flu, it is worth staying inside. Not only for yourself, but for your family and the essential workers too.
Social distancing stops the spread. Washing your hands stops the spread.
There is also talk about a second wave of the coronavirus. We can avoid a second wave or at least minimize its effect if we all stay inside.
Binge watch a show, read a book, play a video game, just don’t go outside. For the safety (and sanity) of us all.
