NHS plans fundraiser easy as pie

National Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser where teachers will be “pied in the face” by students to raise money for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital during the International Summit pep rally in January.

“I like to see the students personally excited about something that benefits another person,” chapter adviser Emily Botta said.

NHS will be collecting donations at lunch during the week of the pep rally. The students who donate the most money will select a teacher to be pied in the face. Not all teachers will be participating, only those who consent to be pied in the face.

“It is something small you can do to make a difference in someone’s life,” Botta said. “A dollar can make a difference.”
